Police to Organize Ceremony for the Destruction of Small Arms Tomorrow, Embassy Representatives to Attend

The Kosovo Police will organize tomorrow the official ceremony for the destruction of illegal small and light weapons.

The event will take place at the premises of Metal 05 in the village of Prelez, on the Pristina–Ferizaj highway.

Present at the ceremony will be the General Director of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, Mr. Nuno Queirós, UNDP Resident Representative in Kosovo, as well as representatives from the EU Office in Kosovo, and the embassies of Germany, France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Norway, alongside senior institutional officials.

“This activity is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kosovo through the Kosovo Safety and Security Programme (KSSP), with financial assistance from Germany, Sweden, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, and Norway, as well as through the regional IPA project ‘Support for Strengthening the Fight against the Illicit Possession, Misuse, and Trafficking of Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) in the Western Balkans (IPA/2021/425-067),’ funded by the European Commission and implemented by SEESAC,” the statement reads.
