The Central Election Commission (CEC) is finalizing preparations for the Local Elections scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 12. Today, Saturday, the distribution of election materials from the Counting and Results Center (CRC) to all polling stations across the country officially begins.
“The CEC informs that tomorrow (Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 08:00) from the Counting and Results Center, the distribution of election materials for the Local Elections to be held on October 12, 2025, will take place,” the Commission’s statement reads.
Polling stations for the Local Elections in Kosovo will open at 07:00 and close at 19:00 on Sunday. Citizens will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred candidate for mayor and for members of the municipal assembly in their respective municipalities.
To enable conditional voting in these elections, each municipality has designated one special voting center.
According to the CEC, on October 12, there will be 38 conditional voting centers with a total of 54 polling stations. Conditional voting is only permitted within the municipality where the voter is registered.
