The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Dimal Basha, together with President Vjosa Osmani and Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, attended an event organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Kosovo in honor of the 113th anniversary of Albania’s Independence.
Basha described November 28 as a spirit that unites Albanians and as a reminder of the centuries of sacrifices made by generations who lived, worked, and fell for the liberation and unification of Albanian lands.
“From Skanderbeg, who raised the flag in Krujë, to the heroic resistance of UÇK Commander Adem Jashari and his family, November 28 is a bridge connecting us to the epochs of our national glory. Each generation has left its mark on this long journey through its heroes, and this teaches us that freedom is sacred and it is our duty to protect and advance our nation until the historical ideals are realized,” said the Speaker of the Assembly.
He also emphasized that, now more than ever, there is an institutional, moral, and national obligation to preserve this heritage, strengthen cooperation among Albanians wherever they live, and remain united in the face of every challenge. Basha added that Albanian unity is their greatest strength and that the future is built upon this principle, which has marked the victories of the nation throughout history.
“Happy 113th anniversary of Albania’s Independence. May November 28 always be a day of pride, inspiration, and faith in the strength of our nation. Glory to all those who sacrificed for our flag and our nation and made it possible for us to celebrate today in freedom and independence,” said Dimal Basha.
