Closing statements at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (ZPS) in the case against former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi, concluded today, with the session set to resume tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM.

During today’s proceedings, the focus remained on the functioning and structure of the General Staff, with speakers highlighting the key roles and responsibilities of the former KLA leadership during the 1998–1999 conflict.

“At this stage, the prosecution, defense teams, and the accused will have the opportunity to present their final arguments to the judicial panel,” the ZPS stated.

Analysts note that these closing statements represent a critical moment in the trial, as they summarize the evidence and claims collected throughout the proceedings, providing the foundation for the court’s final judgment. However, ongoing procedural challenges and high public expectations make the process particularly complex.

Tomorrow’s session is expected to provide the final opportunity for all parties to present their positions, enabling the judges to fully assess all aspects of the case before rendering a verdict against the former KLA leaders.
