EU Ambassador to Kosovo Dirk Schuebel met with acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla and Kosovo Police Director General Gazmend Hoxha to discuss security and the protection of all communities in Kosovo.
According to the EU Office in Kosovo, the meeting focused on ensuring security for all communities in line with human rights and the principles of the rule of law.
“Continuing his meetings with Kosovo authorities, EU Ambassador to Kosovo Dirk Schuebel met with acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla and Director General of the Kosovo Police Gazmend Hoxha,” the EU Office said.
“We discussed ensuring security for all communities, in line with human rights and the principles of the rule of law, so that everyone feels safe. The EU will support these efforts,” Schuebel said.
The meeting comes as Kosovo’s institutions continue to address security concerns affecting different communities and strengthen the rule of law and public confidence in security institutions.
