Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has issued a severe warning to Tehran, declaring that his country will mount a massive military response if it comes under Iranian attack. This stark declaration follows a major regional incident in which Iranian missiles were intercepted while allegedly targeting the Jordanian port city of Aqaba.

Israel’s Ultimatum to Tehran

Speaking during a visit to a national rescue center on Monday, Defense Minister Katz made it unequivocally clear that Israel is fully prepared to execute both “defensive and offensive” military operations against Iran should the current regional conflict cross its borders.

“If Iran launches missiles toward Israel, we will attack it with all our might,” stated Defense Minister Israel Katz.

Missile Interceptions Over Jordan

The Israeli warning comes on the heels of direct military engagement in neighboring Jordanian airspace, highlighting the rapidly widening scope of the conflict:

  • Aerial Interception: The Jordanian Armed Forces officially announced that their air defense systems successfully shot down three Iranian missiles that had breached their airspace and were suspected of targeting Jordanian territory.
  • Impact Zones: While three projectiles were destroyed in the air, a fourth missile crashed into an uninhabited desert region.
  • Casualty Report: According to Jordan’s official state news agency, citing senior military officials, no material damages or human casualties were reported as a result of the missile interceptions or falling debris.
