Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti appeared today at the graduation ceremony for cadets of the Kosovo Correctional Service, where he also delivered remarks on the responsibilities awaiting the newly graduated correctional officers.
Kurti focused his address on the duties and responsibilities that the cadets will assume following their graduation, emphasizing the importance of their role within Kosovo’s correctional system.
His appearance at the ceremony comes amid continued political deadlock in Kosovo, with the new Assembly still not yet constituted.
Earlier in the day, MPs from the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) gathered outside the government building and called on Kurti to begin the process of forming the country’s institutions. PDK representatives have accused him of “usurping” the Office of the Prime Minister.
The political impasse continues after Kurti requested additional time for talks with other political parties over the formation of Kosovo’s institutions.
