Pristina, KosovoPrime Minister Albin Kurti attended a farewell reception for the Ambassador of Bulgaria to Kosovo, Hristo Gudjev, yesterday evening.

In his speech, Kurti expressed his gratitude towards Ambassador Gudjev, who represents a country that is not only a sincere friend of Kosovo but also a strategic partner.

“Over the years that we have worked together, with your dedication, we have managed to advance and deepen bilateral relations between our two countries,” said Kurti.

During Ambassador Gudjev’s tenure, five Bulgarian official visits to Kosovo took place, including that of Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, as well as 21 visits by Kosovo officials to Bulgaria, including meetings between Prime Minister Kurti and both Bulgarian Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and President Radev.

Kurti highlighted the importance of the agreements reached between the two countries, noting that Bulgaria has always been an advocate for Kosovo when needed. He expressed sincere thanks to Bulgarian authorities for their ongoing and demonstrated commitment to Kosovo.

In particular, Kurti thanked the Bulgarian soldiers and officers serving in Kosovo as part of KFOR (Kosovo Force).

“Ambassador Gudjev is concluding his diplomatic mission, but the friendships he has made here will last forever. He will be missed, and I am sure Kosovo will miss him as well. I hope he will be a regular guest in our country, which he can consider his second home. On this occasion, I must thank His Excellency for everything he has done, and through him, the country he has admirably represented here in Kosovo,” concluded Prime Minister Kurti.
