Acting Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci has announced that he hosted a group of master’s students from various countries enrolled in the International and Comparative Studies program at ETH Zurich ETH Zurich.

According to Maqedonci, the students’ visit coincided with commemorative activities marking the 148th anniversary of the League of Prizren, which he described as one of the most significant milestones in the political and national organization of Albanians.

During the meeting, discussions focused on Kosovo’s journey from its historical struggle for freedom to the development of modern security and defense institutions. Topics included the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK), the transformation of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), current defense developments, and the impact of emerging technologies and artificial intelligence on national security.

Maqedonci also highlighted discussions on regional security challenges, Kosovo’s partnerships with international allies, cooperation with NATO NATO, and the country’s path toward Euro-Atlantic integration.

He thanked the students for their interest, thoughtful questions, and constructive dialogue, emphasizing that such academic exchanges reflect growing international interest in Kosovo, its democratic development, and its evolving role in Europe’s security architecture.
