The United States has launched a new wave of military strikes against targets in Iran, with Iranian media reporting that U.S. projectiles struck a target on Qeshm Island.
A U.S. official, cited by Reuters, confirmed that American forces carried out additional strikes on military targets inside Iran, stating that the operation was aimed at “eliminating new threats.”
Following the attacks, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had targeted what it described as enemy military assets in Bahrain and Kuwait.
The IRGC also warned that the latest U.S. strikes would delay the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, threatening to halt energy exports from the region.
“As long as hostile actions by the United States continue in the region, not a single drop of oil or gas will be exported,” Iranian state media quoted the IRGC as saying.
