Osmani Meets King of Jordan and Bulgarian Counterpart at Aqaba Meeting in Sofia

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has announced that she met with King Abdullah II of Jordan and Bulgarian President Rumen Radev. This meeting is part of the ongoing Aqaba process meetings in Sofia.

In a post on Facebook, Osmani wrote that this meeting aimed to promote cooperation, dialogue, and regional stability.

“With King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria, at the Aqaba meeting in Sofia, to promote cooperation, dialogue, and regional stability,” wrote Osmani.

Additionally, President Vjosa Osmani traveled to Bulgaria to represent Kosovo in the Aqaba Process for the Balkans III.

“The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, at the invitation of King Abdullah II of Jordan and President Rumen Radev of Bulgaria, has traveled to Bulgaria to represent the Republic of Kosovo alongside other leaders in the high-level Aqaba Process for the Balkans III meeting, which will be held in Sofia.”

Osmani will deliver an opening speech at the summit and hold separate bilateral meetings.

These meetings will focus on deepening bilateral relations, advancing cooperation in the field of security, and strengthening joint efforts for regional stability.”

“This meeting is organized under the patronage of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Bulgaria and aims to strengthen regional and international cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism. The Aqaba Process, initiated by King Abdullah II of Jordan in 2015, has played a key role in coordinating global efforts against terrorism and addressing security challenges.”

The Office of the President states that Osmani will reaffirm Kosovo’s commitment to regional security and the strengthening of its security institutions in line with Euro-Atlantic standards.

“President Osmani will emphasize Kosovo’s successful engagement in the fight against terrorism and radicalism, as well as the importance of close cooperation with allies and strategic partners. In this context, she will reaffirm Kosovo’s commitment to regional security and the strengthening of its security institutions in accordance with Euro-Atlantic standards.”
