Following an invitation from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) to parliamentary parties regarding the formation of Kosovo’s new institutions, Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) leader Bedri Hamza said the party is ready to hold the meeting on Friday at 09:00 at the Assembly of Kosovo.
Speaking after a Presidency meeting that lasted more than two hours, Hamza stressed that, given the complexity of the current political situation, discussions on forming the country’s institutions must be conducted with seriousness and responsibility.
“The proposed times were today at 17:00, and tomorrow at 08:00, 09:00, or 18:00. I will certainly act responsibly and institutionally. I am not opposed to holding meetings, but before discussing positions, as I have said before and I repeat, it is extremely important to first discuss priorities, the vision for the future, the program, and addressing the challenges facing Kosovo. If there is no agreement on these issues, it is not the goal of the Democratic Party of Kosovo to secure a certain number of ministries, the position of Assembly Speaker, the presidency, or any other office. I have responded to the invitation, informing them that the Democratic Party of Kosovo is ready to meet tomorrow at 09:00 at the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo,” Hamza said.
