In his first speech after returning from New York, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated that Kosovo can collect the necessary votes to join the Council of Europe.
While blaming the big powers and stating that Serbia has been at war with the latter, Vucic said he was proud of his efforts to prevent Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
“On May 16, we expect a report on Kosovo’s membership in that organization. The acceptance of Kosovo in the membership of the Council of Europe is the second point and now there is a comprehensive campaign of flexible interpretation of Pristina’s obligations and at the same time the implementation of various theories about the fault of the Serbian leadership as to why Kosovo will not become a member of Council of Europe.
The chances of it happening are high, we are doing our best to prevent it, because we respect European rules, we have agreed on everything with Europe and the Americans. The first sequence was the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities, then after strange visits to Athens, there was a change in those agreements”, Vucic admitted.
