Pristina, June 10, 2026 – Today and tomorrow, Pristina will host the largest conference ever organized on transitional justice and international courts related to the Kosovo war, with a particular focus on the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (Special Court).

Held on June 10–11, on the eve of Kosovo’s Liberation Day, the event is expected to be one of the most significant gatherings dedicated to the Specialist Chambers and broader transitional justice mechanisms.

According to Nacionale, among dozens of prominent participants will be several international figures who have publicly expressed strong criticism of the proceedings at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, where the trial of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA/UÇK) leaders has been ongoing for nearly six years.

The proceedings involve former KLA founders and senior figures, including Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.

Among the speakers participating in various panels are Daan Everts, Sir Geoffrey Nice, Robert Bosch, and Nevenka Tromp, along with numerous other experts who have previously voiced strong criticism of the Specialist Chambers.

The conference will also feature discussions on the role of media in transitional justice processes. Notable speakers include Tim Judah, Ana Di Lellio, and Dan Perry.
