Tulsi Gabbard has resigned from her position as Director of National Intelligence of the United States, according to American media reports.

Gabbard reportedly informed President Donald Trump of her intention to step down during a meeting held today in the Oval Office.

Reports say that in her resignation letter, she wrote to Trump that she was “deeply grateful for the trust you have placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence over the past year and a half.”

Earlier reports indicated that Gabbard and Trump had significant disagreements regarding the war in Iran.
