Soldiers from the Regional Command-East (RC-East) of the NATO-led KFOR mission carried out a defensive exercise at Camp Bondsteel aimed at testing coordinated defense operations, strengthening security procedures, and enhancing emergency response capabilities.

According to KFOR, the exercise involved members of the armed forces of the United States, Germany, and Turkey. Participants tested the mission’s ability to respond rapidly to potential threats, coordinate defensive actions, and maintain operational readiness in support of regional stability.

KFOR emphasized that it continues to carry out its mandate under the authority of the United Nations, contributing to a safe and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and ensuring freedom of movement at all times and in an impartial manner.

The NATO mission also stated that it maintains close cooperation with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in line with their respective responsibilities as security responders.

The exercise highlights the continued commitment of NATO forces and partner nations to maintaining readiness, strengthening interoperability, and supporting peace and stability in Kosovo and the wider Western Balkans region.
