Experts described the tremors as moderately strong, occurring in the Chania area on the island of Crete.
The earthquake registered a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter 16 km south-southeast of Sougia and a focal depth of 5 km, according to the Geodynamic Institute of Athens.
