Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Glauk Konjufca has welcomed the European Commission’s decision to lift all financial measures previously imposed on Kosovo, describing it as a positive step toward strengthening relations with the European Union.
In a statement shared on X, Konjufca confirmed that all EU measures have been removed and previously suspended financial assistance has now been released by the European Commission.
“We welcome today’s confirmation from the European Commission: all EU measures against Kosovo have been lifted and all previously suspended financial aid has been released. We expect this to open a new phase of constructive engagement and tangible progress on our path toward the European Union,” Konjufca stated.
The development is seen as a significant shift in EU–Kosovo relations, potentially paving the way for renewed cooperation and accelerated reforms as Kosovo advances its European integration agenda.
