Iraq’s imports of gas from Iran have been halted following attacks on Iranian gas facilities, the Iraqi Ministry of Electricity reported in statements covered by local media, according to BBC via Gazeta Express.

Currently, Iraq imports more than one-third of its gas and energy needs from Iran, Reuters reports.

Ahmed Moussa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Electricity, told the Iraqi News Agency: “As a result of the regional developments, Iranian gas flows into Iraq have been completely stopped.”
