Foreign ministers of the Group of Seven said on Saturday they were prepared to take necessary measures to support global energy supplies and reaffirmed the importance of safeguarding maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.
“We express support for our partners in the region in the face of unjustified attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran and its proxies,” said the ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and the United States, along with the European Union’s top diplomat, according to Reuters.
