Kosovo Customs officials have prevented the attempted import of an undeclared air gun during routine checks at Prishtina International Airport “Adem Jashari.”
According to the customs authorities, a passenger who had passed through the green channel — indicating that they had no goods to declare — was selected for additional baggage screening.
An X-ray scan raised suspicions about the contents of the passenger’s luggage, prompting customs officers to conduct a physical inspection.
During the inspection, officers discovered an “FB Record” air pistol chambered in .177 caliber. The weapon had been disassembled and wrapped in aluminum foil and clothing, allegedly to conceal it.
The air gun was confiscated and handed over to Border Police officers at Prishtina Airport for further processing.
The passenger is expected to face the relevant administrative and legal procedures in connection with the undeclared and prohibited import.
Kosovo Customs said the discovery was made as part of routine controls aimed at preventing the illegal entry of prohibited goods into the country.
