The Directorate of Communications of the Kosovo Assembly has announced that a plenary session will be held on September 9, starting at 11:00 a.m., with the election of the Assembly Speaker and deputy speakers on the agenda.

According to the Assembly’s announcement, the session will focus on the election of the leadership of the legislature.

The scheduled session has already drawn criticism from political analysts and constitutional experts, who have questioned its timing and described it as procedurally out of time and a political maneuver by the ruling party.

Several opposition parties have also announced that they will not attend the session.

The dispute comes amid continued political deadlock over the constitution of Kosovo’s institutions and the functioning of the new Assembly.
