Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić was asked about Serbia’s defeat in the recent football match against Albania. He avoided directly addressing the game result, instead emphasizing hopes for a victory for the Serbian List in Kosovo’s local elections.

Vučić stated that voter turnout had been higher in Serb-majority areas compared to Albanian-majority areas by 10:00 AM. He expressed his wish that the celebrations in the Serbian communities would be centered around political success rather than the football match.

“I hope the Serbian List wins and can regain control of part of the local government. I would like tonight to be a celebration of something more important in the Serbian communities in Kosovo and Metohija than yesterday’s football excitement,” Vučić said.
