A 17-year-old was found dead on Tuesday along the Landovicë-Gjonaj road, suspected to have fatally injured himself in a motorcycle accident. The teenager had been reported missing earlier on October 14.

According to the Police, several citizens working in the fields noticed the victim lying near a wall where a house was under construction.

“Today, October 14, 2025, around 16:00, the police were notified that on the Landovicë–Gjonaj road, several citizens working in the fields observed a person lying about 7–8 meters off the road, near a wall under construction. According to initial reports from the citizens, the person showed no signs of life,” said Shaqir Bytyqi, police spokesperson for the Prizren region.

Bytyqi noted that the victim had left home the previous day and had not been in contact since the evening.

“Immediately after receiving the information, the relevant units of the Kosovo Police arrived at the scene and began preliminary investigations. From the investigative actions, it was determined that the victim is the minor V.N. (born August 15, 2008) from the Arbane neighborhood of Prizren. He had not returned home or contacted anyone since the previous night and was reported missing today,” Bytyqi said.

He added that preliminary information indicates the teenager lost control while riding the motorcycle and collided with the protective wall of a house under construction, resulting in fatal injuries at the scene.

“Based on initial data, it is suspected that while riding the motorcycle, the victim failed to adjust to road conditions, lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into the protective wall of a house under construction, suffering severe injuries that resulted in death at the scene,” Bytyqi concluded.
