Kosovo’s Kurti Meets Turkish Ambassador, Discusses Business Forum in Prishtina

Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti met with Turkish Ambassador Sabri Tunç Angılı to discuss bilateral cooperation and potential economic initiatives.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, Kurti praised the existing collaboration between Kosovo and Turkey, particularly in the areas of security and defense, highlighting Turkey’s important role in NATO’s KFOR mission in Kosovo, including command responsibilities.

This defense cooperation will continue in the future, and we thank Ambassador Angılı and the Republic of Turkey for their readiness and partnership,” the statement noted.

The leaders also discussed strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries. In particular, they explored the possibility of organizing a business forum in Prishtina, following the first forum held in Istanbul in June 2024.

Ambassador Angılı congratulated Prime Minister Kurti on his victory in the December 28, 2025 elections, while Kurti thanked the ambassador for the ongoing communication and the invitation to participate in the Diplomatic Forum in Antalya.
