The flag of the Republic of Kosovo waved proudly at the grand opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan–Cortina, marking another historic moment for Kosovo’s sports on the international stage.
Kosovo is represented at these Games by two skiers, Kiana Kryeziu and Drin Kokaj, reports IndeksOnline.
The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, through a social media post, congratulated the athletes, emphasizing that Kosovo stands with them today, tomorrow, and always.
She wished Kryeziu and Kokaj good luck in their competitions and hopes they return with honor from this major global sporting event.
