Migrant Travel Disruption: Cars Begin Crossing at the Croatia–Serbia Border, Buses Still Stranded

A large number of Kosovo diaspora travelers have reportedly been stranded at the Bajakovo–Lipovac border crossing between Croatia and Serbia since around 2:00 a.m., unable to continue their journey.

A traveler currently at the border crossing said that the situation has partially improved.

According to her, authorities have begun allowing passenger cars to cross the border, while buses remain stranded.

She said that, so far, only seven buses have been allowed to continue their journey, while the remaining buses are still waiting in long queues.

The traveler added that delays remain significant, with many passengers having waited since midnight.

RKS News is still awaiting an official statement from the relevant authorities regarding the reasons for the disruption and when traffic is expected to return to normal.
