U.S. President Donald Trump announced that negotiations with Iran over its nuclear program are heading in a positive direction. He made the comments to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, while en route to Miami.
“I can’t tell you much because nothing really matters until it’s finalized. I don’t like to talk about it, but it’s going well. The situation in Iran is going very well, I think,” Trump said.
This statement comes after reports that both countries are willing to continue talks next week regarding Iran’s rapidly advancing nuclear program, according to Iranian state television on Saturday.
The next round of discussions is scheduled to take place on April 19, according to both sides.
