The International Criminal Investigation Training Assistance Program of the Department of Justice, in partnership with the Kosovo Police, held the course “Investigations of white-collar crimes and virtual currencies led and conducted by agents of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI).
The session opened with a minute of silence marking Peace Officer Memorial Day and Police Officer Week, May 12-18, to honor fallen United States officers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
“The training, consisting of 27 participants from the Kosovo Police, the Prosecutor’s Office and the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, focused on providing advanced skills and best practices in investigating and combating white-collar crimes, including those related to currency virtual”, announces the Kosovo Police.
Certificates of completion of the training were presented to the participants at a graduation ceremony attended by high-ranking officials from the agencies represented and US DOJ/ICITAP Attaché Kimberly Riffe and ICITAP staff members.
“The ongoing close partnership of the Kosovo Police and the DD-ICITAP underlines the joint commitment to strengthening law enforcement capabilities and advancing the knowledge and expertise of the KP to fight complex financial crimes,” continues the announcement of the Kosovo Police.
