A 20-year-old man has died following a construction accident in Prishtina on Tuesday, where a crane collapsed at a construction site on Road A.
According to initial reports, two people were trapped under the debris after the crane collapsed. Both victims were rescued and transported to the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) for medical treatment.
Despite medical efforts, one of the injured individuals, a 20-year-old man, died from his injuries.
Prishtina Police spokesperson Enis Pllana confirmed that police units responded to the scene and that the injured individuals received medical treatment.
“Police units arrived at the scene and undertook the necessary actions. Relevant units, in coordination with the State Prosecutor, have begun investigations to clarify the circumstances of the case,” Pllana said.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the causes of the crane collapse and the circumstances surrounding the fatal workplace accident.
