Nenad Rašić has clarified that he spoke with acting Prime Minister and Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti before declaring his candidacy for the position of Deputy Speaker of the Assembly.

Rašić made the statement during an interview on Debat Plus, after being asked by moderator Ermal Panduri whether his candidacy was independent or influenced by the Prime Minister.

Panduri: “You are not being pushed by Albin Kurti, so this is your own initiative? You are running for Deputy Speaker on your own?”

Rašić replied:

“Of course, we discussed my potential candidacy, which happened, if I’m not mistaken, around March after the elections. We debated the topic, and at one point, I said why not, because I truly want to present a new face of Serbian representation in institutions, unlike what we have had until now.”

Rašić’s statement underscores his intent to promote broader representation for the Serbian community within Kosovo’s institutional framework, while confirming that his candidacy was coordinated, though not directed, by the Prime Minister.
