Nexhmije Karaqi, a member of the state attorney’s office, has denied media reports claiming her arrest during Thursday’s large-scale anti-corruption operation.
In a social media post on Friday, Karaqi clarified that she was neither arrested nor involved in the case.
She explained that the reports were due to a misidentification based on similar initials.
Karaqi emphasized that the publication of her name or photos constitutes false and defamatory information, damages her reputation and honor, and violates her personal rights under the Constitution of Kosovo and current civil legislation.
She has demanded the removal of the false reports and warned that she may file civil lawsuits against the publishers.
