Kosovo is ready for its next chapter: achieving EU candidate status, President Vjosa Osmani has declared following a meeting with the EU Special Representative, Peter Sørensen.
In her statement, Osmani emphasized that the dialogue with Serbia must focus on mutual recognition and equal treatment of both parties, while also highlighting Serbia’s continued violations of agreements.
“Now that the unjust measures have been lifted, we will continue working closely with our European partners to move decisively toward the status of EU candidate country,” Osmani said.
This statement underlines Kosovo’s ongoing commitment to European integration and the pursuit of constructive engagement with the EU, following the removal of restrictive measures that previously hindered progress.
