On the day of Serbia’s elections, a bus is transporting members of the Roma community from Mitrovica to Serbia to cast their ballots.

Similar transportation is reportedly being organised from Plemetina, in the municipality of Obilić, where members of the Roma community are also travelling to Serbia to vote.

According to one resident, a bus that had transported a group of voters returned to pick up a second group.

The resident claimed that voters were having their travel expenses covered and were being promised €100 each in exchange for voting for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS). According to these allegations, the payments are made after voting has been completed.

Meanwhile, sources within Kosovo’s security institutions have reported that some Serbs living in Kosovo are allegedly being subjected to pressure and blackmail to vote for the party of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

According to these sources, voters have been instructed on how to cast their ballots and told that mechanisms exist to verify whether they voted for the SNS.

The allegations of vote-buying, coercion and voter monitoring have not been independently verified.
