The “Flame of Freedom” initiative has reached the Nerodime Operational Zone as part of a series of activities supporting former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) currently on trial in The Hague.
Former KLA fighters, veterans, families of fallen soldiers and citizens gathered during the event to express their support for Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
Participants called for justice and freedom for the former KLA leaders, while emphasizing the importance of preserving the memory of the Kosovo war and the sacrifices made by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army.
The “Flame of Freedom” is being held across the seven operational zones of the KLA as part of activities leading up to the “March for Freedom,” scheduled to take place in Prishtina on September 12.
The march will begin at 2:00 p.m. from Skënderbeu Square, with organizers calling on citizens to participate in support of the former KLA leaders.
