Kosovo Customs has reminded passengers arriving through Prishtina International Airport to comply with customs procedures and declare goods that exceed the permitted duty-free threshold.
Customs officials at Prishtina International Airport regularly provide information to travelers, inspect baggage and enforce customs procedures aimed at preventing violations and protecting Kosovo’s economic interests.
Passengers who use the green channel, indicating that they have no goods to declare, may still be subject to customs checks. Officials may also use baggage scanners as an additional tool to identify goods that may be subject to declaration.
Kosovo Customs said the duty-free allowance for goods intended for personal use by passengers entering Kosovo by air is €430 per traveler.
If the value of personal goods exceeds the €430 threshold, travelers must declare them through the red channel, where a customs officer will provide information on the applicable procedures.
Kosovo Customs said it remains committed to protecting citizens’ interests, safeguarding the economy, preventing and combating smuggling, and tackling other forms of illegal activity.
The authority emphasized that accurate information and proper declaration of goods are an important part of ensuring a safe journey and compliance with Kosovo’s customs legislation.
