Kosovo Police Arrest North Macedonian National Wanted by INTERPOL

Kosovo Police have arrested a North Macedonian national who was wanted internationally through INTERPOL on suspicion of drug-related offenses.

The arrest was carried out at around 10 a.m. by the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with the Directorate for Migration and Foreigners and the Ferizaj Police Station.

According to Kosovo Police, the individual was identified as a person wanted under an international arrest warrant issued by North Macedonia.

The warrant relates to allegations of the unauthorized purchase, possession, distribution and sale of narcotics, psychotropic substances and analogous substances, offenses punishable under North Macedonia’s Criminal Code.

Following the arrest, the competent prosecutor ordered that the suspect be placed in police custody for 48 hours while further legal procedures are carried out.

Authorities did not disclose the suspect’s identity or provide further details about the case.
