The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (PZAP) issued several fines on February 9, penalizing political parties for campaign violations following complaints from rival parties.

Vetëvendosje and AAK Among the Fined Parties

According to the published decisions:

  • Lëvizja Vetëvendosje (LVV) received two fines following complaints from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).
    • A €6,000 fine was imposed after Faton Peci, an LVV-Guxo candidate, allegedly mentioned LDK in a political event held in a café.
    • Another €2,000 fine was issued after LDK complained that LVV held an event in a school in Prishtina where children were present.
  • The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) was fined €3,000 after LVV complained about a meeting between Suhareka mayor and AAK candidate Bali Muharremaj with employees of the Main Family Medicine Center (QKMF).

These penalties highlight strict electoral regulations and growing political tensions in Kosovo’s election campaign.
