Four Young People Killed in Fiery Crash on Fushë Krujë – Vorë Road

A tragic accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday on the Fushë Krujë – Vorë road, where a car collided with a cement mixer truck, resulting in the deaths of four young people who were burned inside the vehicle.

The collision caused the car to burst into flames, trapping the victims inside. Firefighters from Kamza arrived at the scene, but the fire had already claimed the lives of those inside the car.

Police Statement and Investigation

According to Albanian police, the accident happened around 11:50 PM on March 19, 2025, in Fushë-Prezë. Preliminary investigations indicate that the car, driven by 25-year-old E. L., crashed into a cement mixer truck driven by 24-year-old A. K., who fled the scene after the accident.

The victims, aged 20 to 25, were identified as:

  • E. L., 25 years old (driver)
  • E. L., 20 years old
  • E. K., 24 years old
  • A. L., 22 years old

The driver of the cement mixer truck, A. K., has been detained for further questioning as authorities continue their investigation. The Prosecutor’s Office is leading the inquiry to establish the full circumstances of the accident.

This tragedy highlights ongoing concerns over road safety in Albania, with authorities urging drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations to prevent such devastating incidents.
