Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP-elect Përparim Gruda has said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti’s invitation to opposition party leaders indicates that discussions will focus on the formation of all state institutions. Gruda linked this assessment to the fact that the invitation was issued before the constitutive session of the Assembly.
“We have said from the very beginning that without political dialogue and compromise, the institutions cannot be formed. That is why we are meeting—to establish our position. We expect the dialogue to be genuine. Since the invitation was made before the institutions have been established, the agenda should be the formation of all institutions. No party won enough seats in the last elections to form all the institutions on its own,” Gruda said.
“You know that Vetëvendosje sought more than 50 percent of the vote, but the voters gave it less than that. The election result is clear, and many things have now become evident. We will speak further after the Presidency meeting,” he added.
