French President Emmanuel Macron held a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to withdraw the Israeli military forces still present in Lebanon.

“The President emphasized to Prime Minister Netanyahu the importance of ensuring that nothing undermines the efforts of the new Lebanese authorities to restore state authority across their entire territory,” the French presidency stated in a release.

On Sunday, the Israeli Prime Minister also mentioned that he had received assurances from President Macron that Israeli companies would be allowed to participate in the 55th International Air and Space Show in Le Bourget in June, according to his office.
