The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has expressed her deep condolences following the tragic fire in a care home in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which claimed the lives of 11 people.
Through a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), President Osmani also wished a speedy and full recovery to those injured in the incident.
“The people of Kosovo are heartbroken by the tragic fire in a care home in Tuzla, which has taken precious lives and left families in deep mourning.
On behalf of the people of Kosovo, I extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Osmani wrote.
She added that the memory of the victims should bring comfort to their loved ones and concluded her message with words in Bosnian:
“Iskreno saučešće porodicama nastradalih. Republika e Kosovës është me ju!”
(Sincere condolences to the families of the victims. The Republic of Kosovo stands with you!)
