After weeks of preparation, voting for citizens of the Republic of Kosovo living abroad is taking place today in 29 diplomatic missions worldwide.

According to the Central Election Commission (CEC), a total of 19,187 Kosovar citizens, who registered in advance for in-person voting, are eligible to cast their ballots at 16 embassies and 13 consulates of the Republic of Kosovo.

Different Closing Times by Host Country

Voting will conclude at different times depending on the host country:

  • 17:00 (Kosovo time) – Voting closes at the Consulate of Kosovo in Istanbul
  • 19:00 (Kosovo time) – Polling stations close in Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Norway, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, Denmark, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Hungary
  • 20:00 (Kosovo time) – Voting ends at the Embassy of Kosovo in London
  • 01:00 (Kosovo time, next day) – Voting concludes at four diplomatic missions in the United States and Canada

The staggered schedule reflects time-zone differences, with the diaspora voting process officially ending after midnight Kosovo time.
